Absolutely fantastic food. The hummus was spot on. The tabouli was flavorful and fresh. The pita was soft and just absolutely excellent. Shocked I have not visited this place sooner, it has been sleeping under my nose this entire time. Will come again soon, appreciate the good food!

I've been wanting to try this place for soooo long. My hubby isn't a fan of this type of food, I was finally able to dine without him. Heehee. I wanted to try a lil of everything. My service was, okay. Received a common tea that was delicious, a lil too sweet but very tasty. Got the lunch special chicken kabobs with rice , salad, pita & garlic sauce, lentil soup, baba ganoush, hummus. I wasn't that hungry but I wanted to try so many dishes! The pita bread is thin, more firm than other places... which was a plus for me. The garlic sauce is top notch! Smooth and tasty, feel sorry for anyone I talk with today. Hahaha. Salad was simple romaine lettuce with fresh cut tomatoes, dressing reminiscent of Italian but not. Hummus smooth and flavorful. Chicken had a mild flavor but the fresh made salsa.... Boom added slight heat and more flavor. Lentil soup was warm and simple. My biggest frustration was it looked like family friends seated on the other side as they let their 2 children run around, climb the empty booths, just undisciplined. The mothers were not addressing them. The server did make a comment once but it didn't last. Was really happy when they left. I look forward to exploring more dishes.

Delicious!! I hope this place makes it!! The menu selection is great, everything we have ordered, we loved. I have been back several times, and ordered to go as well. Kofta kabobs are my favorite! Lamb kabobs my husbands. Greek salad with extra feta- you can't go wrong! Try the the mint lemonade! I wanted a cocktail- they don't serve so opted for this- it was sooooo good!! My husband is Armenian, so middle eastern restaurants are a regular stop for us wherever we go. He gives Shish an A+

I've been here three times... and I have to say, while each experience is definitely ranging from strange to flat out weird as far as the actual atmosphere and service is concerned... The Food is ON. POINT. Like good enough that I'll continually put up with the strange process of actually obtaining it, just so I can eat it again. Part of the reason for that is, I don't really know anywhere else around to get it, and it's providing me with my first taste of Yemeni food. Yes, they have an extensive and more common Mediterranean type menu (which is also quite good), but the star of the show is on that back page, which is chock full of goodies you just have to try to appreciate. I seem to gravitate toward anything stewed, and so far the Fahsah has been the best of the ones I have tried, though it's definitely recommended you order that with some rice to fill it out a bit. I have yet to see anything come from the Yemeni menu that wasn't delicious. My dad even ordered the livers (Kebdah), and me as a non-liver eater even though the chunk I had was pretty tasty. There are also some really reasonably priced options for a quick lunch, or for those that are more budget conscious. Everything comes with their tasty bread and an unbelievable garlic sauce that I just cannot get enough of. One of the best things you can do is just order a side of fries and dip them in this garlic sauce. Trust me! If you love garlic, you'll go crazy for this stuff! If I have one complaint above all others, it is not clear on the menu what items come with sides or salads, and ones that do not. It's pretty frustrating. You really don't know until your order, or ask your server. It should definitely say on the menu "comes with salad and sides of your choice." Also because of this, you're not sure whether you're about to receive enough food to feed multiple people, or if you'll still be hungry. All in all, with some polish on the service and more clarity on the menu, this could become a must-try place in Greensboro. I think the food already is, but the experience will frustrate some. Take note, Shish is in the house, and the SHISH HOUSE IS ROCKIN!
